King scored three goals in Clayton State’s first two games as the Lakers opened the season with a pair of wins. The fifth-year senior midfielder from County Durham, England, opened up with two goals in a 2-1 win over Anderson on Thursday, scoring the game-winner in the 55th minute on a rebound off his own penalty shot attempt. Against Erskine on Saturday, he scored the second goal in the 2-0 win on a free kick and was a key part of the defensive effort that held the Flying Fleet to just five total shots, none on goal. Through one weekend of play, he leads the PBC with three goals and six points.
