Georgia College Soccer Brings in National Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Honor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches recently announced that the Georgia College Soccer team received Silver status in the Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award program for the Fall 2018 season.

These awards recognize a total of 167 college and high school teams across the country for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the laws of the game. The Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award is given to United Soccer Coaches members at four levels, platinum, gold, silver and bronze. Levels are based on a percentage calculated by the total number of cards received by players and coaches divided by the team's total number of games played.

Georgia College's outstanding sportsmanship on and off the field gives them the distinction as the only Peach Belt Conference (PBC) school to receive the national recognition.

This has been a normal occurrence for the Bobcats under head coach Hope Clark, receiving the honor six of the past seven seasons (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018).
