CSU’s Clark Named United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American

KANSAS CITY, KAN – Columbus State's Riley Clark was named a Division II Scholar All-American by the United Soccer Coaches. The junior from Peachtree City, Ga., was also one of five PBC women's soccer players selected to the All-South Region team.

First-team All-Region selections were Clark along with teammate Amanda Murphy. UNC Pembroke's Stacey Scott was second-team All-Region with CSU's Flo Spano and Brooke Nail named third team.

The Scholar All-America honor adds to an impressive list for Clark, who was also named a D2CCA second-team All-American, United Soccer Coaches first-team All-Region, D2CCA All-Region, PBC first-team All-Conference and to the PBC All-Academic team. She finished with 16 goals this year to go along with seven assists. Her 16 goals on the pitch put her into a tie for 24th in the nation while her 39 total points this season was the seventh highest in program history.

With 36 goals in her career so far Clark is already in the top ten in scoring in program history.  She was also named the PBC Player of the Week on Oct. 29.
