Player of the Week: Melanie Cobb, UNC Pembroke
Cobb takes her second straight weekly award after scoring two goals with two assists in two games during the week. The senior scored the game-winner in a 4-0 win over Chowan and also had an assist. Then added a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win at USC Aiken, securing the Lady Braves the #2 seed for the PBC Tournament, their highest seed ever. With her two assists, Cobb tied the UNCP single-season assist mark with 10. She leads the PBC in shots, points and assists per game and is second in the league in goals, assists and game-winners.
