14 PBC Women’s Golfers Named WGCA All-America Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, FLA – A league-record 14 Peach Belt Conference women's golfers have been named All-America Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).  That total doubles the previous record of seven honorees by PBC athletes in 2015.

UNC Pembroke led all PBC schools with five student-athletes on the list.  Young Harris added four with North Georgia and Flagler at two each and one from Armstrong State.

The 14 were part of 952 total women's collegiate golfers to be named to be recognized with this prestigious honor.  The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) is 3.50.
