Player of the Week: Lacey Willis, Armstrong Atlantic State

Willis averaged 22 points and 14 rebounds per game as the Lady Pirates won twice in the final week of the season to finish tied for third in the PBC regular season standings, its best conference finish since 2003-04. She registered 22 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in AASU’s 92-91 win at No. 7 Francis Marion on Wednesday, the Lady Pirates’ second win over a top-10 ranked team this season. She then scored 22 points with 11 rebounds and six assists in a 71-64 win over Lander on Saturday, moving into fifth place on the AASU all-time scoring chart with 1,223 career points. The senior hit 53.1 percent from the floor and averaged 4.0 assists per game.
