Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Nile Ball, UNC Pembroke

Ball was throwing mostly strikes as he picked up a complete-game win over Columbus State in the opener of their three-game series.  The senior righty from Decatur, Ga., allowed only one run on six hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in going the distance, becoming one of only two pitchers with a complete-game performance in a conference contest.  He struck out the side in the second as he retired seven in a row and set down the side again in the fourth and ninth.  Ball is tied for the league lead with four wins, is second in total strikeouts and 10thin ERA.
