Baucom hit a smooth .500 in the Braves’ first three games of the season with two extra base hits and 10 RBIs. The senior from Rockingham, N.C., went 2-for-3 in the opener against Shepherd, driving in four. He was 2-for-4 in game two with a double and a home run as he drove in three. He drove in three more in the finale as UNCP completed the sweep. Baucom slugged .900 with a .563 on-base percentage. He was also perfect in the field with no errors in 22 chances at first base with three assists. He leads the PBC in RBIs and is ranked in the top ten in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
