Baseball Player of the Week: Ethan Baucom, UNC Pembroke

Baucom hit .556 with a .944 slugging percentage as the Braves took two of three at Armstrong State over the weekend.  The freshman from Rockingham, N.C., had four doubles, a home run and nine RBIs in four games in total.   After going 2-for-4 with a double midweek against Lenoir-Rhyne, he hit .571 in the three games in Savannah, including a 5-for-6 outing in game one.  He had a home run and two doubles in that contest with five RBI.  He was 2-for-4 in game two with another double and three RBIs and finished the series with his ninth RBI in a 1-for-4 outing.  He added six runs and two stolen bases to his tally and had no errors in 32 chances at first base, helping turn three double plays.  Baucom is sixth in the PBC with a .399 batting average and fourth with a .706 slugging percentage on the season.  He is also 11th in doubles, 14th in home runs and 15th in RBIs.
