Mary Lisko, Augusta University

Mary Lisko ended her 29-year tenure at Augusta University in 2006, retiring as the Assistant Dean of the College of Business Administration & Director of Student Support and Advising.  She also served the Jaguar athletic department as the Faculty Athletic Representative for 17 years beginning in 1989.

Her tenure saw the transition of the Augusta department from Division I to Division II and membership into the Peach Belt Conference.  Upon becoming full Division II members in 1991, Lisko began an exemplary career of NCAA work. 

She served as chair of the Academic Requirements Committee from 1996-2002, one of the only Division II personnel to oversee a committee that encompasses all three NCAA divisions.  She also served as the vice president of FARA (Faculty Athletic Representative Association).  Additionally, she served on the Initial Eligibility Committee, NCAA Clearinghouse Committee, Initial Eligibility and Waiver subcommittees, the Division I Academic Standards Review Committee and on the Academic Standards Taskforce Review.

In addition to her work for the NCAA, she also served on the August Athletic Committee, the ASU Non-Traditional Student Committee and the ASU Registration Management Committee.  She was also an instructor and assistant professor in the School of Business, teaching accounting, finance, marketing, income tax, microeconomics, auditing, logistics and advertising classes in her career. 

A member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s, she received her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State Mankato and her masters from the University of Arizona.  Lisko currently resides in Augusta.
