North Georgia Student-Athletes Collect Food for Holidays

Dahlonega, GA – The North Georgia Student Athletic Advisory Committee has teamed up with the North Georgia College & State University Staff Council to collect food for a local non-profit organization called the Community Helping Place of Dahlonega.

The North Georgia Student Athletes donated enough food to supply 25 families of Lumpkin County with food for the Holidays. Each team was responsible for collecting enough food for one "Feast Bag.”

"Our student athletes more than doubled this food drive which is a wonderful tribute to our athlete's willingness to give back to the community,” Associate Director of Athletics Lindsay Reeves said. “

“It is very important for us as athletes to get involved and make a difference in our community,” North Georgia Softball player and current Peach Belt Conference SAAC President Kaelin Farrington said.
